Matheson Advises Aon on its $13.4 billion Agreement to Acquire NFP

We are delighted to have advised Irish registered, NYSE listed Aon plc on its signing of a $13.4 billion definitive agreement to acquire NFP for a combination of cash and stock which was announced yesterday. NPF is a leading middle-market provider of risk, benefits, wealth and retirement plan advisory solutions with operations in the US and internationally, including in Ireland.  Closing of the transaction is subject to customary conditions, including regulatory approvals, and is expected to occur in mid-2024.
