Our History

Our history begins in 1825, when we started as a small legal firm in Dublin’s city centre.  We survived the destruction of our offices during the Easter Rising of 1916, and we grew steadily in size and influence over the course of the following decades.  In line with our strategy of providing expert services to our international clients, we invested heavily in developing an international network.  We were one of the first Irish law firms to open a dedicated office in London in 1989, and were the very first European firm to open an office in Silicon Valley in 1996.
